England's first innings came to an end on Day Two of the first Test against the West Indies, with the team dismissed for 371 runs. The hosts had resumed the day on 230/4, with Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes at the crease.

West Indies spinner Roston Chase was the pick of the bowlers for the home side, finishing with figures of 5/105. However, it was fast bowler Kemar Roach who made the crucial breakthrough, removing Bairstow for 140. Stokes went on to score 65 before he was caught by Jason Holder off the bowling of Alzarri Joseph.
England's innings was eventually brought to a close by a stunning spell of bowling from Jayden Seales. The young pacer took three wickets in quick succession, including the prized scalp of Joe Root for 42. Seales finished with figures of 3/75.
West Indies in Reply
In reply, the West Indies reached 121/1 at the close of play, with Kraigg Brathwaite unbeaten on 60 and Tagenarine Chanderpaul on 36. England will need early wickets on Day Three if they are to have any chance of taking the lead in this match.
